an image captured from the play Greetings From. Four Amelias are seen, each one has a different colored hat resembling a pilot's helmet. One Amelia in a red hat and vest stands in front holding her arm up triumphantly. Two other Amelias crouched over are holding strange props - a stick with bottles attached, and a bicycle wheel. In the background is a large backdrop painted to look like a giant postcard.
GREETINGS FROM...

an animated clip from the play, first we see an empty stage, then suddenly one Amelia crashes into it and rolls with a dramatic tumble, followed by a wave of 4 or 5 more amelias all crashing and rolling onto the stage. Animated clip of seven Amelias on stage performing a dance in unison where they hold their arms out and push forward three times as if diving into a pool, and then wrap their bodies around to the other side and raise their arms up.

GREETINGS FROM... is/was/is a blurry experimental play about postcards and airplanes produced by the Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking? Collective. It was devised by Theresa Columbus, Luu Pham, Jakey Zabawa, Rowan Gardner, Dave Iden, PK Kim, Francesco Leandri, and Joanna Plasencia.

Amelia Airplane (played collectively by the entire ensemble) crashes in an unknown place and must pull herself back together with the help of the postcards she carries, the stories they tell and the lost messages they hold that will now be undelivered. Along the way she may or may not have to wrestle with her own cosmic fate.

Greetings From... was developed and performed as a double-feature in the summer of 2024, alongside its sister play Well Ends Well That's All (but I wasn't in that one).

Material from Greetings From.. was also used as the foundation for several short performances at various variety shows throughout 2024. Photos on this page were taken by Theresa Columbus, Francisco Benavides, Caitlin Weaver, and JB Aris.

In center stage, an Amelia in a blue hat looks confused and holds a small rubber duck. On either side, clusters of 3 Amelias each strike strange poses.

a moving clip from the play. In center stage, a performer playing a spider frantically pulls seemingly endless rope out of himself and throws it wildly into the air. To his right, a man in a Hawaiin shirt seems to be crying, to his left, two characters are playing with a bundle of rope woven into a net shape.

a moving clip from the play, one Amelia is standing, surrounded by several Amelias laying on the ground. The standing Amelia hoists a rope above her head, as she does, it is revealed that the rope is attached to all of the fallen Amelias, whose limbs raise as the rope raises, but they are unable to fully stand.

an actor dressed vaguely as a pigeon (with a grey baseball cap and grey wings on top of theatre blacks) holding a giant pencil prop a performer dressed vaguely as a duck (with a yellow baseball cap and yellow raincoat) dancing wildly

Six Amelias are on stage hanging out casually, one is holding up a giant postcard. A seventh Amelia is playing guitar. In center stage, a performer dressed in a space helmet is singing.

the poster for Well Ends Well That's All and Greetings From. A poster on white is cut into two halves. The top half says Well Ends Well That's All and features a blurry photo of three obscured figures in black and white. The bottom half, which reads Greetings From, feautres a very simply line drawing of seven performers with a stamp border design.

a mock postcard. On the top is a drawn postage stamp of a shark. The message on the postcard reads - My dear friend, I'm sorry I have not written in so long. I forgive you for all of it and I miss our correspondence. I miss seeing your photos, and the scent of your perfume. In fact, I forgive everything that has happened between us. You don't have to worry anymore. My mind is made up and it's beyond our comprehesion. Anyway, I also rode a camel and met a nice old witch you would've loved! Ok! Gotta jet! If they find me it's the end of the line! Wish me luck, your fave buckaroo

a photo of the cast of Greetings From in costume. Seven performers are standing in a row, posing dramatically. They all have KN-95 face masks. They each have a different colored fake pilot helmet and matching ascot. Several have leather jackets. Behind them is the backdrop which resembles a giant postcard.
